In lab class at 17 May, I chose to focous on Writing skills because I need to improve these skills for me . I read about paragraph structure (task 3) which tolk about topic sentences . I knew from the strategy of writing the topic sentences do not come at the beginning of the paragraph . The paragraph should support thesis/statement/claim/ belief contained by provide evidence for it in the topic sentences .

Library
Last week, I went with my mentors Mark and Sandra and my colleages in Lab class to Library to know the method of working in there . It was not the first time that I go to the library where I went to the Library with my friend who study at university . I knew in the first visiting by my friend on sections of the library and instructed me on the search methods for particular book by the computer that is located there .
When I went to the library last times, the acadmic atmosphere was fun and all students were engrossed in reading their subjects to prepare for their tests.
I felt so excited to study and the visit has given me motivation for strong start fo the study and to share these students their acadmic achievement .
When I arrived to the library, I tried to find the book which I selected from the cumputer but I did not find it . So I asked Mark about it where went us again to the shelf and looked for it . He has taught me how to find any book by class number, shelf number and code section .
I will go back to the library again to look for and borrow the book I was looking for .

Cable theft 'caused over 6,000 hours of train delays'

In this report by Richard Scott '' Transport correspondent, BBC News '' , he mintioned about cable theft which 'caused over 6,000 hours of train delays' . He transfered on '' Network Rail '' which say '' the number of theft incidents in the 2010-11 financial year jumped by 52% to 995'' .
The couse for stealing the cable is to sell it to unscrupulous scrap yards, becouse it has high price of copper .
As a result, Northern, had 1,435 trains cancelled last year and had 983 hours of delays for passengers .
So The Association of Train Operating Companies can't protect every single kilometer ''

My strengths in terms of my use of English are listening and writing but i want to improve them . I want to improve my academic writing skills to do a good article or essay and to write good research or coursework .
Also I need to make conversation with foreign student to improve my speaking.
In pre-sessional programme I would most like to improve all my skills in English especially writing and reading because I will use them alot.
I normally listen to the radio or watch television and read some stories or newspaper to improve my English .
